The Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruitment is responsible for all aspects of leading the team of undergraduate admissions counselors and successfully meeting freshmen application, acceptance, and deposit goals. The assistant director also serves on the admissions leadership team and is directly involved in developing recruitment strategies and tactics.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Effectively recruit students to, and achieve enrollment goals for, the University’s freshman and transfer recruitment efforts.
2. Supervise undergraduate recruitment team, including admissions counselors, senior admissions counselors, and assistant directors, as appropriate.
a. Manage the hiring process.
b. Train new hires and implement a plan for ongoing staff development and retention.
c. Individually coach each counselor toward professional excellence, the achievement of goals, and
professional development.
d. Provide regular feedback to the recruitment team related to performance and plans for professional
development.
3. Engage in all aspects of student recruitment.
a. Represent Cedarville at on- and off-campus events.
b. Communicate with prospective students and applicants persuasively and effectively.
c. Support the needs of campus guests and guest services staff.
4. Manage the undergraduate recruitment budget.
5. Participate in strategy and tactical sessions that will lead the Admissions department to the achievement of its enrollment goals.
a. Set application goals by territory.
b. Determine travel strategy for college fair representations and school/church visits.
c. Coordinate the Columbus and Dayton NACCAP fairs.
6. Review and follow up as needed with undergraduate applications.
7. Serve as a member of the Admissions Leadership Team.
8. Follow NCAA rules and regulations in the recruitment of student athletes.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
● 2-3 years of experience and proven success in sales management, marketing, and/or recruiting.
● Excellent skills in organization, leadership, sales, communication, time management and customer services.
● Must possess excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
● Must be energetic, creative, flexible, dependable, resilient, tactful and competitive.
● Experience in telemarketing, social media, and use of CRM software is preferred.
