The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant. This is a ten-month, 1848-hour, non-exempt staff position.

The School of Science and Mathematics Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing office management and administrative support for the School Dean, Program Directors, faculty, and staff. Primary responsibilities include greeting office visitors and providing primary office phone support, preparing School meeting minutes, scheduling appointments for the Dean and faculty, managing general office needs, managing and maintaining School budgets in collaboration with the Dean, preparing requisitions and credit card statements, submitting general work requests, managing student employees (hiring, records maintenance, work hours approval), serving as a liaison with Guest Services for prospective student recruitment activities (CU Fridays, Preview Day, student visits), serving as a liaison with campus offices and partners, providing support to school faculty for student records and assessment activities, advising students and assisting Program Directors with transient course requests, managing room requests, arranging travel, assisting with expense reports, arranging prospective faculty visits, processing reimbursement requests, proctoring exams and quizzes for faculty, and providing additional assistance as requested by the School Dean, faculty, and staff.

Position Requirements:

  • Two years college experience required. B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in office management or providing administrative support.
  • Ability to provide prompt, friendly, responsive, and professional service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive/confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Expertise with presentation, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Able to learn and use network online tools for accessing information and completing tasks.
  • Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ
