Cedarville University seeks applications for the position of a Private Contemporary Commercial Voice Music Instructor in the Department of Music and Worship. Individuals are needed for this position in Fall 2024.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished performer and pedagogue in contemporary commercial voice styles. Knowledge of classical voice, current voice science, and pedagogy research is desirable.
The successful candidate will primarily teach contemporary commercial voice. If the successful candidate has training, experience, and desire, he/she could be asked to teach classical voice. This position instructs on the Cedarville University campus.
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree and/or equivalent performance/teaching at the professional level required. All requirements for the master's degree must be completed by June 2025
- Outstanding studio teaching skills
- Fluency in the English language
- Ability to balance the diverse priorities of a voice program within a liberal arts institution
- Fit with the Christian mission of Cedarville University
- Candidates must be willing to uphold the University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards
