POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Manager of Access Control is responsible for developing, implementing, and communicating approved University policies to secure University facilities using access control systems, including door access systems, surveillance cameras, locks, keys, door hardware, and door alarms. 

 

The area served is a highly complex university campus and includes all University facilities and operational needs for 24 hours/day, 7 days/week access control services. This position is considered to be ‘essential’ and may be required to work outside of normal business hours, on weekends and holidays, or as required by the university's needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in computer technology, electronics, or a related field preferred. Experience in electronics/technology helpful
  • Preference is given to those with security training and management experience.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive attitude.
  • Must be familiar with using standard computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to learn and become proficient with other computer software systems as necessary.
