The Work Control Coordinator serves as the department’s primary point of contact for service requests and assists departmental staff with work order processing, procurement of goods and services related to work orders. Works closely with the AP department to coordinate payment of invoices. Prioritizes and assigns work orders based on departmental policy. Assists with development and management of preventive maintenance schedules. Helps identify and track expenses which are to be charged to other departments. Processes inter-departmental charges and adjustments after they have been approved. Assists with developing and maintaining a variety of documents, reports, spread sheets and presentations as needed. This is a full-time (2080 annual hours), non-exempt position. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to communicate well with people in a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Organized with attention to prompt, timely, professional service.
  • Knowledge of campus programs and personnel would be a plus.
  • Required to have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as experience with databases.
  • Good understanding of accounting and budgeting for non-profit organizations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment
  • Familiar with and/or able to learn, terminology and common practices of the facility management and construction industries.

REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Work requires routine application of several established procedures and practices where basic analytic ability is required.
  • Light physical effort; occasional stooping or bending; incumbent is seated most of the time, however, occasional lifting, carrying or otherwise moving of lightweight objects (up to 25 pounds) is required.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions, also to moderate temperature changes.
  • Work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data, computer terminal use.
  • Filing, keyboarding, copying, hearing, listening, and speaking skills are required. The ability to manipulate by hand keyboards, switches, and buttons is required.
