Cedarville University is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator in our recently launched Physician Assistant Program in the School of Allied Health and Psychology. This is a non-exempt, full-time staff position (2080 hours).
This individual will serve as the main point of contact and receptionist for the PA Program, providing office management and administrative support for the PA Program Director and the PA Program. More specifically, the Program Coordinator manages appointments and schedules for all PA Program facilities and equipment, manages the Program Director’s appointments and schedule, manages and oversees various program systems, produces and maintain meeting minutes; produces program correspondence, presentations, and reports; coordinates PA Program events and meetings, assists the Program Director with general budget oversight, assists the Program Director with PA Program webpage development and oversight, creates and maintains student records, manages office supplies, assists with accreditation processes, maintains a functional understanding of healthcare and PA education, engages with various professional healthcare organizations on behalf of the PA Program, addresses questions about PA Program policies and procedures, and carries out additional responsibilities to advance the PA Program.
Position Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred. Two years of college experience required.
- Previous experience as an office manager or administrative assistant required.
- Experience working in a US healthcare setting is helpful.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and effectively balance multiple projects and demands
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Commitment to service excellence in a team environment
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information in a professional manner
- Ability to use and learn technology effectively, including the use of advanced word processing, presentation and reporting software, spreadsheets, and database management applications
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
- Ability to produce professional correspondence and reports, both written and electronic
- Ability to coordinate support services for daily and long-range program needs
- Must represent the PA Program with the highest degree of professionalism and Christian character
- Ability to interact effectively with various internal and external constituencies
- Ability to complete assignments independently with appropriate instruction and minimal oversight
- Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ
