SUMMARY

 

Identifies opportunities for new business, develops new accounts, manages existing accounts, and will manage new any assigned 3rd party manufacturer’s representatives to facilitate growth and profitability. 

 

The Snr. Account Manager will be part of the CDI/Hallite Sales Team and inspire the organization for development and growth, seeking new products, customers and markets that the company can support profitably

 

Work with commercial, engineering & operations teams in a fast-paced, high-mix volume environment.

 

Primary reporting line to the Sales Director Europe and secondary reporting line to the Snr. Director of Sales – Europe for CDI Products located in Houston.

Will be responsible for all strategic planning, sales execution and growth for sealing activities of highly engineered, mission-critical, polymer and elastomer molded and machined components serving the oil and gas, industrial, chemical, medical, general processing and upstream-midstream and downstream markets

 

He/she will develop and implement strategies to drive key metrics covering sales growth, customer satisfaction, customer support, revenue, operating income, quality and on-time delivery.

 

The successful candidate will also drive the ongoing adoption of digital solutions with a focus on developing organizational capabilities to support these tools. Additionally, the Snr Account Manager will actively engage in commercial excellence, project management and instilling a sense of urgency and rapid action with monthly report-outs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Identifies potential in assigned accounts, evaluates customer needs, and analyzes opportunities.  Develop account strategies to meet plan sales objectives.
  • Supports assigned sales reps by supporting the sales process, meeting with customers, assuring effective flow of quotes, inquiries and orders, and facilitating the set-up of process of new products and accounts.
  • Helps with the process of finding and vetting new strategic representation opportunities for CDI/Hallite
  • Facilitates and supports the set-up process for new customers including contracts, set-up and on-boarding, training, and sales support.
  • Prepares monthly sales forecasts to support the CDI/Hallite S&OP process. Obtains and communicates information related to industry trends, competitors, and projected future business.
  • Works with customer engineering/technical staff to get product specifications, ensuring that the needs and expectations of the customer are communicated.
  • Prepares and makes sales presentations focusing on value to customers and coordinates visits from CDI/Hallite personnel
  • Utilizes Oracle CRM to maintain current customer profiles, enters opportunities, new customer information, call reports, and maintains the CRM with current customer information.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, specifications, and industry trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses.  Attends industry sponsored trade shows and seminars.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, closing sales by overcoming objections and securing profitable contracts
  • Provides input and assistance to other functional areas including Quality, Service and Safety in order to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Manages business expenses against a jointly developed sales and marketing budget and completes reporting requirements.
  • Increase sales effectiveness by communicating values, strategies, and objectives; planning, monitoring, and appraising results, fostering a climate for offering information and opinions; and supporting growth
  • Provide to the organization’s management team a culture of high-performance, accountability, professional development, and ethical behavior
  • Develop and deploy the strategic plan by studying commercial opportunities and aligning them to CDI/Hallite resources and capabilities; present assumptions; identify metrics; and recommend objectives to the CDI/Hallite teams.
  • Participate in company strategic planning and implement strategic goals and objectives
  • Continuously analyze the market to identify appropriate opportunities
  • Develop and execute on the product growth and profitability strategies for the CDI/Hallite product portfolio.
  • Support voice of customer (VOC) to determine new product needs for regional markets.
  • Define new product opportunities including business plans, product life cycle plans, financials and proposals. Support the commercial launch of new projects and products.
  • Maintain market focus with regular customer contact and interaction with CDI/Hallite teams as needed. This includes responsibility for conducting OEM product training
  • Engage in frequent collaboration with sales, technical and operations teams to facilitate the execution of product line strategy

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree or equivalent technical and commercial experience.

 

  • 5  years of commercial experience.
  • Direct sales “hands-on” experience of critical sealing components preferably non-metallic materials
  • 5  years technical sales of  “value selling” critical sealing components to end-users and/or OEM’s
  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering or related field, with demonstrated engineering / technical /project management experience.
  • Experience with processes & reporting, typically used in high performing companies
  • Success working in a high-mix product environment.
  • Demonstrated success history
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate and deliver a progressive vision
  • Superior organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must reside in the UK

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Travel expectations a minimum of 50% or more to support sales activities in market areas. Global travel as needed
