Accounting/Finance - Accounts Payable Clerk 125-1004

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing a range of account entry and reconciliation activities to provide support to the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other billing statements.
• Responsible for coding and entering invoices for payment.
• Responsible for check printing/ACH for payment.
• Prepares web desk tickets for scanning general ledger journal entries and index document retrieval.
• Assists in the preparing monthly A/P reports for scanning and indexing for document storage and retrieval. 
• Assists as a back-up in preparing and sending files and submit to the bank for payments.
• Responsible for reviewing employee expense reports and issuing checks including coding, entering and distribution.
• Responsible for the preparation invoices and supporting documentation for scanning.
• Assists in balancing all inter-company accounts and A/P sub ledger to the general ledger. 
• Responsible for maintaining W-9 files and assists in the preparation of 1099's.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time.
• Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
• Ability to interact with personnel at all levels in the company and with outside vendors.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or 3 to 9 hours of accounting preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of previous experience in accounts payable required.
