Teacher Assistant (Early Childhood Education)
The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Teacher Assistant (Early Childhood Education) to work as part of a team in the center to provide for the educational, physical, social and emotional needs of the children within a variety of classrooms. This position is located at 1797 Kendall St., Lakewood, Colorado 80214 and reports to the Director.

Essential Job Functions
- Assist the classroom teacher in providing an environment which is both age and developmentally appropriate for the children in the classroom.
- Assists the classroom teacher in accessing children and entering data in the Teaching Strategies Gold data base.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary
- Must have minimum Early Childhood Teacher qualifications or be willing to obtain them.
- One year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
