GENERAL SUMMARY


The Vendor Management Risk Analyst is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of vendor relationships, coordinating and facilitating vendor risk assessments, conducting and performing due diligence/quality assurance reviews, assisting with the training of relationship managers and subject matter experts, coordinating and facilitating subject matter expert reviews of vendor due diligence material, maintaining the vendor, contract, and engagement inventories, analyzing and assessing third-party risk results and recommending courses of action, facilitating and participating in working groups and meetings, advocating vendor diversity program, and assisting in the preparation of enterprise level reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the coordinating and facilitating of the Vendor Management risk assessments, resolving issues with the business unit, subject matter expert, and/or relationship manager, and performing quality assurance reviews.
  • Provides consultation on risks identified that need to be considered by the business unit/relationship manager and ensures risks identified are properly documented and incorporated into governance committee reporting, as appropriate.
  • Supports the development of key measures and performance indicators to monitor the execution of the Vendor Management Program.
  • Improves the effectiveness of the Vendor Management Program by partnering with Third-Party Risk Management to provide a timely response to the review and challenge process and how the changes to the program requirements will be incorporated in the Vendor Management Office processes.
  • Provides third-party risk assessment results that aggregates the results of the subject matter expert reviews, clearly documenting and analyzing risk exceptions and, where applicable, working with the business owners to assist in documenting the appropriate action plans to remediate identified risks.
  • Aggregates risk assessment results to create enterprise-level risk reporting for Senior Level Management.
  • Ensures all required due diligence documents are on file and have undergone proper subject matter expert (SME) reviews.
  • Maintains Bank wide third party, contract, and engagement databases capturing, categorizing, and risk rating vendors/engagements and their sub-contractors where appropriate. 
  • Partner with Third-Party Risk Management to provide feedback on policies, procedures, processes, and workflows as needed. 
  • Stays current of any Vendor Management regulatory requirements and changes as well as industry best practices which would influence the Vendor Management Office. 
  • Works independently to analyze and assess information and recommends courses of action with minimal supervision.
  • Partners with SMEs to ensure that business units comply with pertinent laws and regulations as it relates to vendors.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:   BA/BS Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of vendor management experience (or appropriate transferrable experience)
    • Perform essential job functions with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated understanding of vendor management concepts and implementation / program administration techniques including vendor performance monitoring. 
    • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions. 
    • High-level understanding of contract clauses and concepts.
    • Experience using Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools.
    • High level of professionalism, commitment, and integrity. 
    • Commitment to growing and enhancing skills and knowledge. 
    • Occasional travel to and from other work locations may be required.
  • Skills/Ability:     Must possess excellent organizational and attention to detail skills. Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other similar software packages. Proven ability to work autonomously and adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change. Able to interface with business unit leaders, auditors, and vendor representatives. Strong team player with ability to influence opinions without having direct authority. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

OTHER DETAILS

$31.25 – $38.46 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
