GENERAL SUMMARY

The FVP, Treasury Management Sales Consultant Team Lead is responsible for driving and sourcing core deposits and fee income associated with treasury management products and services to meet client’s needs and achieve individual sales and team target goals. This position will drive sales execution for Retail and Commercial business clients and prospects.  This role will work closely with Treasury Management Implementation and Support (TMIS) Leadership to ensure the bank effectively meets client needs, achieves sales and revenue targets for the business segment, and executes sales plans and promotions.

DIRECT REPORTS

The incumbent currently has four (4) direct reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Achieve or exceed individual and team annual sales goals as assigned.
  • Meet with Cathay Bank’s top tier clients and prospects to assess treasury management needs, discuss initiatives and recommend effective strategies.
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of time in the field partnering with commercial relationship managers & lending teams to identify and develop treasury management solutions for clients and prospects.  Listen to learn and give compelling reasons for ideas and recommendations to meet or exceed assigned depository and TM goals. Collaborate with relationship managers to develop cross-sell strategies.
  • Update team members on product enhancements as appropriate.
  • Assist in bringing to market products and or services that add value or fill in gaps to existing TM offerings.
  • Work with clients and TMIS to deliver a seamless transition to Cathay Bank.
  • Team up with internal partners (TMIS and Product Management team) to improve the “client experience” through continuous improvement.  Share time and resources, and frequently seek input and feedback from others.
  • Help mentor and coach other Treasury Management Sales Consultants as needed to identify, present and deliver treasury management solutions to established clients by expanding existing relationships and acquiring of new prospect relationships.
  • Manage sales performance by leveraging appropriate sales metrics and reports to ensure team’s awareness and achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Manages and provides guidance to the team including writing annual performance evaluations and providing balanced feedback.  Hosts team meetings to support their development and to keep the team up to date on new products and sales strategies.
  • Special projects as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:   Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance, Marketing, or Business preferred.    CTP highly preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum of 7+ years of Treasury Management sales experience required.  Must have at least 3 years of management/leadership experience.
  • Skills/Ability:  Excellent written communications skills – able to produce clear, understandable, and professional materials. Excellent verbal communication skills – articulates point of view effectively and ensures others understand the message.  Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of management.  Effective project management and organizational skills – willing to put in the time and effort necessary to get the job done.  Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills.  Demonstrated ability to remain professional in challenging or stressful situations.  Ability to travel 50% within their assigned territory.  

OTHER DETAILS

$160,000.00 – $170,000.00 / year 
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
