Crisis Unit - Psychiatric Technician

Role and Responsibilities - This is a Full-time position SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 8AM TO 4PM AND 4PM TO 12AM (8AM TO 12AM)
The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for supervising clients during scheduled shifts and provides individual support (i.e., life skills) for assigned clients. All work is performed in accordance with state regulations, CATCH Policies and Procedures and professional mental health standards.
Brief Outline of Duties
- Telephone screening for prospective clients.
- Schedule and follow-up on client appointments.
- Accompany clients off site when necessary.
- Liaison between clients, case manager and crisis residence.
- Assist clients in obtaining long term housing.
- Participate in formulation of client’s care plan.
- Participation with client in his/her aftercare planning.
- Facilitate community meeting.
- Complete all documentation as required.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONS REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or GED with at least one year inpatient or emergency service experience. Valid Driver’s License.
