Sr. System Administrator

Vista Innovative Solutions, LLC (VIS) is hiring Sr. Systems Administrator to support our ongoing mission.  This is a remote opportunity and requires a Secret clearance to be considered. 

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support servers and systems
• Deploy and test operating systems
• Knowledge of organizational information technology (IT) user security policies (e.g., account creation, password rules, access control).
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support
• Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
• Perform Required Governance / Compliance of Systems.
• Maintain Authority To Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation including all associated waivers, risk acceptance and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) guidance and policies.
• Perform security tests and monitoring. Ensure code security scan reports are provided to the Cyber Security Division as documented in the development and release process with recommendations to remediate code scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) findings.
• Development, maintenance, and execution of Continuity of Operations (COOP) events to maintain system availability IAW guidance from DISA and Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER).

Skills:

• Technical skills in Active Directory, Group Policy, networking, and PowerShell scripting, correcting physical and technical problems that impact system/server performance, monitoring and optimizing system/server performance, and recovering failed systems/servers.
• Soft skills like problem solving, communication, and adaptability
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance.

Training/Certification

• A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution or equivalent Experience.
• A+ or CND or Network+ Preferred 
• Security+ Certification Required
• Secret Clearance Required
