Materials Expeditor

PPS is seeking a Materials Expediter to ensure materials and supplies move smoothly through the organization to support production schedules and delivery dates.
 
Responsibilities:
•    Manage the flow of materials through the organization, from procurement to delivery.
•    Collaborate with production, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure that materials are available on job sites when needed.
•    Procure and route materials into and out of facilities.
•    Keep supervisors informed of material status.
•    Examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.
•    Drive company truck to outlying work areas to check the status of orders or to deliver materials.
•    Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition, and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.
•    Resolve documentation, quality, or delivery issues with suppliers.
 
Must Have Requirements:
•    Ability to obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) access to a military installation
•    Valid Driver's License

•    Ability to identify parts and materials or discover acceptable substitutes
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•    Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
•    Strong communication and organizational skills
 
Desired Skills:
•    Production Planning & Control (PP&C)
•    Experience supporting production through warehousing, transportation, or related functions
•    Knowledge of and experience with inventory control principles and practices
•    Certified Forklift Operator
•    OSHA 10 Certification
•    Procore Project Management experience

Location: Tyndall AFB, FL
Hourly Rate: $20.00/HR- $23.00/HR
