Simulation Laboratory Technician

Eagle Integrated Services is seeking a Simulation Lab Technician to add to our Information Technology Support Services team in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Works closely with and assists faculty, staff, and other simulation facilitators to provide ongoing support for training simulations or other training sessions
• Specializes in both the technologies and methods used in the planning, preparation, and execution of simulation-based training and education events
• Program, test, and run simulations during courses for instructors and staff, assuring the equipment and graphics are set up appropriately so that desired learning outcomes will be achieved

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.
• Skill in using analytical and research skills in performance of job duties.
• Demonstrate high-end customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Self motivated to learn, troubleshoot, and complete projects.
• Preferred 5-6 years’ experience

Physical Requirements

• Predominantly indoors in normal office environment
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach
• Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
• May require frequent computer use for several hours at a time
• Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
• Must have visual acuity
