Network Engineer

TekPro Support Services, LLC is hiring for a Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will support projects and procedures in Camp Humphreys, Korea.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Senior Network Manager
• Administers and assists with engineering solutions for all Exercise Network enclaves.
• Maintains and controls IP Address assignments
• Enforces WAN and LAN use, operations policies, and repair and upgrade procedures for layer two and layer three network devices.
• Enforces policies and procedures for WAN and LAN backup and disaster recovery procedures necessary for 24/7 operations.
• Maintains comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures. 
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, provide support to end-users, and collaborate with team members to address network-related challenges.
•  Analyzes user requirements and selects the network approach to provide the requested services and most effective and efficient solution to ensure integrity and availability.
• Ensures that system setup and programming meet the configuration requirements of the network design to support large, distributed network operations that require availability standards.
• Verifies that the installation of equipment is complete, and the equipment is fully functional prior to operational activation
• Conducts pre-cutover and post cutover user acceptance tests.
• Must be able to travel worldwide to attend simulation planning conference
• Assist in maintaining equipment inventory and accountability
• Assists in ALL other Technical Support Branch operations when assigned by the Senior Network Manager and Technical Manager.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Three years’ experience in networking working with Cisco switches, routers, and associated industry standard routing protocols
• Three years’ experience in understanding TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls, and other networking devices

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• BA or BS degree in Computer Science or Information Management Systems or five years’ experience in networking working with Cisco switches, routers, and associated industry standard routing protocols

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience working within appropriate Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, TACLANE’s, Cisco switches, routers, COMSEC devices and associated industry standard routing protocols.
• Experience in complex networking design and implementation.
• Industry standard technical certifications for IAT Level II, IAW DOD BPP 05-PR-M-0002 and DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce and Management Program
• Must have and maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
• Must be SOFA eligible.
