Professional Electrical Engineer

PPS is seeking a motivated Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting stand-alone electrical design projects and serving as in-house engineering for our electrical contracting operations. Candidate must have a current P.E. Stamp in order to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical design work for a variety of projects, including utility, Clean Energy and Critical Power.
- Develop and analyze single-line diagrams, Arc-Flash Studies, Specifications, and coordinate technical procurement.
- Ensure designs comply with industry best practices, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver subject matter expertise.
- Participate in occasional site visits and field inspections to ensure project specifications are met.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and technical reports.
- Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Must currently hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools).
- Previous experience in utility, clean energy, or federal designs.
- Knowledge of federal contracting requirements and procedures.
