Construction Inspector

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC seeking Construction Surveillance Engineering Technicians (CSETs) to provide construction management services for the Weapons Generation Facility (WGF) construction project at Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB).

The CSETs will manage the overall construction Weapons Generation Facility at Barksdale, AFB. CSETs will perform quality assurance on the construction contractor’s daily construction activities along with Government Construction Management Engineers (CME) and Government Construction Engineering Technicians (CET).

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate requests from construction contractors
• Coordinate field activities
• Attend safety meetings.
• Monitor compliance with environmental protection requirements.
• Monitor materials testing.
• Witness testing of waste, gas, water, electrical, heating, ventilation testing
• Review Daily contractor reports.
• Schedule pre-final and final inspections
• Maintain working files.
• Other duties as assigned.

CSET Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Quality Control Manager or Superintendent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical (HVAC and/or plumbing) trades.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• CSETs will be required to perform duties that involve moderate walking over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders, walking up and down several flights of stairs or similar activities, recurring lifting of moderately heavy objects less than 50 lbs. such as testing or measuring equipment, and regular visits to construction sites.
