ANEP Program Assistant*

Our foundation operates scholarship programs, cultural and heritage grants, and engages in fundraising to empower and uplift our community.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Bristol Bay Foundation is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Program Assistant to provide assistance for cultural heritage program activities, including support for two new projects: the Building Up Bristol Bay Language Education (BUBBLE) Project and the Teaching Culture, Honoring Heritage: Bristol Bay’s Native Language Empowerment Collaborative (TC2H) project. The Program Assistant will play an important role in supporting the implementation and coordination of various educational programs and initiatives designed to enhance the academic success and cultural enrichment of Alaska Native youth.
ESSENTIAL Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance to program directors, and coordinators, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, organizing program materials, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Works with the Executive Assistant to support the Cultural Heritage team in creating, processing, and monitoring check requests, stipends, and credit card tracking.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of educational events, workshops, and cultural activities for students and community members.
- Support communication efforts by drafting newsletters, social media posts, and other promotional materials to raise awareness of program activities and engage with stakeholders.
- Provide assistance to program participants, including students, parents, and educators, by addressing inquiries, providing resources, and offering logistical support as needed.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing program data to track participant progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and generate reports for stakeholders and funders.
- Collaborate with internal staff, external partners, and community members to ensure the successful implementation of program activities and initiatives.
- Provides staff support for Foundation events (Shareholder Information Meetings, BBNC Annual Meeting, Bristol Bay Leadership Forum).
- Assist in preparing program materials, reports and research for Board and Committee meetings.
- Performs other program-related duties as determined by the Executive Director and Program Director.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work environment includes various locations in office and other public buildings and use of computer, audio/visual and general office equipment.
