Procurement Specialist II

TSS is seeking a former federal contract specialist/contracting officer, and/or experience with being a contractor that supports contracting officers/contract specialists within DOD. The position involves reviewing the work of other federal contract specialists/contracting officers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 years’ of demonstrated experience using the FAR and DFAR
• DOD contract experience
• Expert on compliance
• 3 years’ of demonstrated pre-award/award/post award contracting experience procuring products and services
• Utilizing FAR parts 8, 12, 13, 15 and 16
• Experience using PD2 software preferred

Responsibilities

• Review the work of other federal contract specialists/contracting officers.
• Conduct “in-house policy reviews” and checking the works of others for correctness, compliance and completeness
• Ability to analyze compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and contracting policy documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research skills, ability to research complex topics independently and produce concise, coherent summaries
