Sr. Software System Tester

Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) is seeking Software/System Tester Senior support for a new client at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland.  

We are seeking an Application/System Specialist to support in the disciplines as listed, but not limited to, below:

• Able to lead a team by identifying the work required and appropriately delegating tasks to team members.
• Able to oversee work performed by others and ensure quality by identifying and correcting errors.
• Designs, develops and executes manual and automated tests during software and system development to ensure they are operational and effective prior to release.
• Responsible for finding and resolving software defects before the launch
• Works with developers and stakeholders to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do, its functionality and who the end users are
• Decomposes complex or large systems into smaller parts to test
• Develops and executes test plans, test cases and detailed test scripts
• Uses COTS testing software and frameworks perform automated testing and reporting
• Performs a variety of test types including unit, functional, security, regression, limit, integration, stress, performance and scalability
• Responsible for designing test case scenarios, performing thorough testing and preparing comprehensive reports on the effectiveness of these tests.
• Reports progress, risks and bugs identified to the software development and project management teams
• Performs testing in a variety of platforms and components including networks, operating systems, applications, databases, browsers and mobile devices
• Understands, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto
• Understands, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management

1. Years of experience required
   1. Five (5) additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications/relevant experience may be substituted for the degree. (Total 10 yrs experience)
   2. Experience and comfortability with Agile best practices
   3. Experience with high volumes of users and application optimization
   4. Strong customer support ability
   5. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
   6. Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills (applications, services, servers, networking, etc.)
   7. Experience developing cloud-based applications

2. Education requirements
   1. A bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline + 5 years of relevant experience all within the last 5 years.
