Engineering Planning and Programming Specialist (Part-Time)
SST is seeking a Part-Time Engineering Planning and Programming Specialist
Note: This position is for a part-time position, operating independently and remotely.
Job description:
Part-time, remote work, developing military Sustainment, Restoration, and Maintenance (SRM) as well as Military Construction Program (MILCON) projects' programming documents. Self-starter gathers project information, identifies gaps in facility and programming requirements, researches Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) to determine functional criteria, manages cost estimates and produces a coherent Department of Defense (DoD) form DD 1391 "Military Construction Project Data" for SRM and MILCON projects.
Requirements:
Four years of experience developing, editing, and producing DD 1391s and other planning/programming documents for the US military.
Ability to produce DD1391 (with required attachments) from basic sketches, work orders, planning documents and self-directed research.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of military facility types and supporting infrastructure/facilities.
Working knowledge of facility construction practices, including design-build and design-bid-build project delivery systems.
US citizen
Highly desirable:
Working knowledge of accessibility, historic preservation/cultural resources, and fire protection standards.
Working knowledge of DoD facility antiterrorism/force protection requirements and standards.
Working knowledge of Air Force facility standards and requirements.
Ability to estimate project costs for DD 1391 input.
