We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager with a minimum of 8 years HR experience in more than one HR discipline – change leadership and transitions, compensation, performance management, employee relations, recruiting, benefits, talent management and employment law. This position will serve as the first line human resources business partner within the assigned entities for HR-related matters, with the goal of aligning HR best practices to business strategies. The successful candidate will have experience working with or for a PEO and will work as a collaborative member of the team in a rapidly changing, complex and fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

 

Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Management Responsibilities:

· Serves as HR point of contact for 3 independent entities and administers the people operations for these companies.

· Experience managing vendors for outsourced payroll and HR functions is a plus.

· Manage full cycle recruiter which will include partnering with hiring managers to communicate hiring policies and assess recruitment needs, post advertisements through job boards, review qualified resumes and forward to hiring managers, conduct pre-screening interviews, draft offer terms and act as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers.

· Understand the business entity and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, and productivity.

· Provides comprehensive professional HR support services including input and enforcement of employment regulation as well as company, divisional and site-specific policies & procedures; employee relations; complaint investigation & resolution; recruitment; compensation & benefits.

· Acts as a strategic business partner, to include counseling senior management regarding HR policies and procedures and related administrative process improvements.

· Provides input in design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with business requirements.

· Proven track record of exceptional consulting, project management, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to independently set priorities and carry out multiple, diverse assignments within time deadlines required.

· Build strong partnerships with employees at all levels to foster trust and accountability, ensuring that HR needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer service.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

· Maintain an in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance issues affecting HR functions within company and elevates concerns to HR leadership, as necessary.

· Review a variety of payroll related information (e.g. compensation, time management, benefit deductions, etc.) to ensure accurate disbursement of funds and payroll.

· Manage annual performance management process for entities. Provide management with effective guidance (coaching, counseling, career development and corrective actions).

· Administers FMLA, state leaves and ADA compliance to ensure accurate record keeping and administration of programs.

· Manage electronic onboarding new hire process to ensure hire has completed necessary paperwork, and compliance requirements.

· Ensures labor law poster updates are current and posted in assigned work areas.

· Partner with Immigration Attorney with H-1B visa and green card processes as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

· 8 years of Human Resources experience, including 3 plus years of professional level Manager experience.

· Be able to exercise judgment and make recommendations which will balance the needs of employees as well as the company. Above all, a strong sense of integrity and professional maturity is a must.

· The successful candidate should have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

· Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

· Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.

· PHR or SHRM - CP preferred.

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat and publishing software.

· Must be able to travel as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
