We are seeking a full-time Intern in our Detroit, MI office.
As an Intern, you will work on a vast array of engagements throughout your internship. Interns work in teams and are given direct exposure to clients within many different industries. You will be given assignments similar to those given to full-time associates. There may be an opportunity for full-time placement for interns upon graduation and Company availability for those with demonstrated capability and a strong desire to learn and grow the practice.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Analyze financial statements, tax returns and financial data
2. Preparation of financial models
3. Preparation of schedules, analyses and reconciliations
4. Prepare analyses of financial information
5. Assist with forensic accounting and investigative projects
6. Other duties and special projects as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, Master’s preferred
2. CPA or CPA candidate preferred
3. Team player, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment
4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects
5. Ability to extract helpful information from sets of unorganized or incomplete data
6. Use problem solving skills to provide alternative explanations to intricate issues
7. Experience in QuickBooks and EXCEL
8. Proficient use & analysis of computer models and spreadsheets
9. Strong accounting skills
10. Proficient with PC systems and related software, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
11. Has a strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis
