Art Intern

The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 700 students K-12, welcomes candidates to apply for an internship in the Art Department.

The intern’s primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting the department one/two days a week

• Updating and maintaining the department’s digital archive by curating slideshows of student work. 

• Assisting with exhibitions: install, remove, and return student artwork across three divisions 

• Supporting the art department with material and prop preparation. 

• Teaching as a substitute in art classes, depending on need, in grades 1-12.

The Art Department is interested in candidates with a strong background in art, Photoshop skills, and a displayed interest in teaching Art. Please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration (art portfolio preferred).
