Nuclear Medicine Director, Strategic Development
Job purpose
The Nuclear Medicine Director, Strategic Development position operates in key customer segments with executive contacts, defined as, but not limited to Strategic Partner, National Accounts, Distributors, Specialty Groups, High Volume and/or High Profile Hospital and Outpatient Imaging Centers. Overall responsibilities for this role are to target, evaluate, plan and pursue these entities, resulting in profitable sales growth aligned with the company’s goals and initiatives. This position will be responsible for directing, managing and leading field activities within the Nuclear Medicine Field team for customer support and industry relationship goals.
Essential Activities, Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Achievement of Company Objectives
- Drive Field Team and Functional area collaboration throughout strategic targeting process, and contract launch and implementation.
- Accurately forecast and communicate Strategic Partner, National Account and Key Customer Sales performance to the Vice President as appropriate.
- Actively participate in the sales and operational budgeting process.
- Communicate strategic goals and objectives to the NM Leadership Team, Field NM and Executive Team (as appropriate) through effective presentations at company and business unit meetings.
- Executive- level execution performance conducting annual business reviews and ensuring compliance in agreements with Strategic Partners, National Accounts and Key Customers.
- Diagnose, identify, and build programs to deliver key business and organizational needs in the areas of culture, operating model evolution, leveraging and utilizing efficiencies, employee experience, and leadership development
- Lead change management planning and execution in support of key organization initiatives (including integration, efficiencies, operating model evolution, etc.)
- Establish, develop, and execute an internal communications strategy as a key component of organization change management initiatives
- Lead collaboration with Nuclear Medicine field sales, Clinical Applications Specialists, Marketing and other appropriate departments for project / program development.
- Monitor and report results of value enhanced programs and services across all levels of National Accounts and their customers.
- Effectively leverage economic model and clinical relevance for strategic partner business growth.
- Business Development
- Identify and develop strategic partners to drive the adoption and utilization of the Nuclear Medicine product portfolio.
- Explore new business relationships and areas of collaboration consistent with the Nuclear Medicine Business strategy.
- Participate in the strategic account management with the Strategic Partners, National Accounts and Key Customers and align those strategies with their customer segments defined by group, geographical area and/or targeting strategies.
- Develop customer orientation, understanding our customer segment, how they are motivated and the current and future business challenges they face.
- Actively participate in the strategic initiative development for the Nuclear Medicine Business, helping drive support and adoption of key initiatives with the field sales and clinical team.
- Identify areas of team development, efficiencies and enhanced collaboration within the Nuclear Medicine Business unit to drive customer satisfaction, customer retention and strong revenue growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, decision makers, and industry level thought leaders.
- Take an active role with NM marketing, operations, and Nuclear Medicine Leadership team colleagues to implement effective programs intended to meet or exceed revenue and market development objectives.
- Participate in special projects and assignments across key functional areas
- Represent Bracco Nuclear Medicine at industry trade group meetings, boards and special projects.

Professional Experience
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies.
- Must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and oral communications required.
- Diplomatic interpersonal skills needed.
- Experience working with physician leaders considered a plus.
- Attention to detail and follow-through essential.
- Excellent quantitative skills, moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- 5-8 years of experience in industry, diagnostic imaging preferred.
Education
- BA/BS Degree in science or business-related fields – preferred
- Minimum 3-year experience in the area of nuclear medicine and/or cardiology.
- Experience in marketing and sales training preferred
