Human Resources Business Partner LATAM

Job Purpose

 

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) LATAM is directly responsible for supporting client groups in Bracco Companies within the Latin America region.  This role acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the leadership team and employees across Brazil and Mexico. The HRBP deploys a people agenda, ensuring alignment with short and long-term business objectives and providing hands-on business partnering support in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and other HR initiatives. This role also works with the organization to provide coaching and leadership to business partners, supports the administration of annual HR processes, conducts data analysis and participates in key HR projects within LATAM and across the Americas. The HRBP is crucial in managing HR functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations in Brazil and Mexico, and works closely with local leadership, employees, and Bracco HR Americas colleagues to foster a positive work culture, enhance employee engagement, and support business growth through effective people strategies.

 

 

Main Responsibilities, Activities, Duties and Tasks

 

  1. Strategic HR Partnering
  • Develop and build strong relationships with leadership, management, and employees, at a strategic level to create, implement, and manage human resources policies & procedures.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand key goals and challenges and help shape the people agenda to align with business needs and company strategy and values.

 

  1. Talent Management & Development
  • Partner with management to ensure that talent is identified, developed and retained.
  • Oversee the implementation of performance management processes, ensuring clear goals, feedback and professional development for employees.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance for employees to optimize promotions and transitional alignment of employees, in accordance with business objectives and organizational goals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of people initiatives to improve business outcomes.

 

  1. Employee Relations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees in Brazil and Mexico regarding HR policies, addressing concerns, conflict resolution and workplace issues.
  • Provide counsel for managers and employees on performance issues, disciplinary actions, employee relations and performance improvement programs.

  

  1. Compensation and Benefits
  • Partner with Human Resources colleagues in Bracco HR Americas to manage annual compensation and salary planning programs and to design and implement market-appropriate reward systems that align with business needs and financial budgets.
  • Ensure competitiveness of compensation and benefits programs in both Brazil and Mexico to attract and retain top talent.

 

  1. Other
  • Coach and provide guidance to employees and all levels of management on employee or management issues, guided by company's policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies, local labor laws and regulations in Brazil and Mexico.
  • Responsible for overall internal recruiting process, including identifying appropriate candidates, the candidate screening process, facilitating the interview process and conducting consensus meeting to determine selected candidate.
  • Assist in the life cycle of an employee from job creation to onboarding to development to advising on terminations and exit interviews.
  • Collaborate with Bracco HR Americas colleagues to implement HR programs and initiatives in Brazil and Mexico, including Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits and Learning & Development.
  • Interaction with local internal resources and external advisors in Brazil and Mexico responsible for local processes, including payroll and legal issues resolution.
  • Support other Bracco HR Americas initiatives and other regional ad hoc projects as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. 

 

Professional Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills

At least 5-7 years of HR experience, preferably with international exposure.

  • Regional Expertise: Experience working in HR within Latin America, specifically Brazil and/or Mexico, with an understanding of local labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Language: Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish and English is required.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and address HR issues proactively.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to foster trust and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including managers, employees, and Bracco HR Americas colleagues.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, including financials, strategy, and business challenges, and how HR can contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skilled at addressing conflicts and finding solutions that align with organizational values and objectives.
  • HRIS experience, preferably with Workday.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry a plus.
  • Employee relations and coaching skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR practices in Brazil and Mexico.

Work Environment

  • The position could be either co-located near the Bracco Princeton, NJ office as hybrid (three days in office, two days remote) or remote within the Miami, Florida metropolitan area.
  • The position requires travel to Brazil (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Mexico City and Princeton, New Jersey (travel approximately 20%-25%).
