Job Summary: 

 

To provide clinical supports and oversight for people served across Bay Cove’s programs. To develop and implement effective, thorough, and clinically sound Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans. The position will conduct clinical training, monitoring, and assessment to staff as it pertains to the implementation of Behavior Support Plans. The Behavioral Services Clinician will take a lead role in the  roll-out and implementation of the state-wide Positive Behavior Support (PBS) initiative. The Behavioral Services Clinician will provide training to all Division Services staff on topics in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, as well as other clinically relevant subjects. The Behavioral Services Clinician is expected to actively participate in the continued development and implementation of high quality clinical services within Division Services.

 

This is an exempt position.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

No supervisory requirements. The position will monitor/assess employee skills and provide subsequent feedback and training regarding all aspects of Behavior Services processes. The Behavioral Services Clinician also provides training for staff and management personnel regarding clinical and behavioral interventions.

 

Requirements of Position:

  • Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, Education, Human Services or related field preferred.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or MA State Licensure as a Behavior Analyst highly preferred (or boards/licensure required within six months of employment). If licensed in other state-approved disciplines (LMHC, Social Work, etc.), clinician must have at least three years of training, including post-graduate classwork or formal training, and/or experience in function-based behavior assessment and treatment (i.e, ABA).
  • At least three years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Google, etc.).
  • Solid working knowledge and understanding (including both experience and education) of principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of Organizational Behavior Management a plus.
  • Experience working with a culturally diverse population.
  • Good interpersonal skills across a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to teach in both formal and informal settings, as well as to provide constructive feedback. 

Essential Functions of Position: 

  • Assist in the implementation and the delivery of PBS throughout Division's service models. 
  • Conduct and complete clinically sound Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Write clinically sound, evidence-based Behavior Support Plans based on assessment outcomes that adhere to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Supports. 
  • Ability to review and make clinically sound treatment decisions based on the analysis of collected data.
  • Attend Human Rights Committee Meetings and present Behavior Support Plans as needed.
  • Maintain all required Certifications and Licensing. Independently maintains and acquires required CEUs.
  • Work alongside QA and Operations to ensure that PBS is fully integrated into all aspects of  service delivery, evaluation, and quality improvement.
  • Attend PBS Leadership Team and Risk Assessment meetings and participate in the Risk Committee process. 
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Behavioral Services Manager.
