Job Summary: 

The Rehab Aid is responsible for the implementation and fidelity of therapeutic programs to enhance skill level and quality of life of people served. 

This is a non-exempt position. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Implement and monitor therapeutic programs as directed by the OTR/L 
  • Data collection and reporting 
  • Complete and submit required documentation (data, monthly updates, weekly summaries, timesheets, etc) 
  • On-going training for program staff and fidelity of implemented therapeutic plans (OT, Dining. Supportive and protective devices, etc) 
  • Monitor for and communicate changes in person’s served skill performance
  • Liaison between programs and clinical staff around durable medical equipment including on-going inventory of durable medical equipment status across the division. 
  • Be aware of, document, and communicate supply needs for therapeutic programs. 
  • Use regular (weekly) supervision to determine upcoming schedules, review therapeutic programs and give input, etc. 
  • Ensure that therapeutic programs are delivered in a culturally responsive manner that optimizes health, safety, independence and empowerment through the principles of positive behavioral supports and agency policies and regulatory standards 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and agency leadership

Requirements for the Position:

  • High school equivalency and at least 2 years of experience in the human service field.
  • Certifications: CPR/SFA, within 30 days of hire, crisis prevention & DPH MAP Certification within 90 days of hire, Driver’s License upon hire 
  • Proficient in clinical and professional verbal, writing, and computer skills. 
  • Ability to go up and down stairs and the physical capacity to physically assist persons served as needed. 
  • Use of personal cell phone and/or vehicle
