Job Summary:
The Rehab Aid is responsible for the implementation and fidelity of therapeutic programs to enhance skill level and quality of life of people served.
This is a non-exempt position.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Functions of the Position:
- Implement and monitor therapeutic programs as directed by the OTR/L
- Data collection and reporting
- Complete and submit required documentation (data, monthly updates, weekly summaries, timesheets, etc)
- On-going training for program staff and fidelity of implemented therapeutic plans (OT, Dining. Supportive and protective devices, etc)
- Monitor for and communicate changes in person’s served skill performance
- Liaison between programs and clinical staff around durable medical equipment including on-going inventory of durable medical equipment status across the division.
- Be aware of, document, and communicate supply needs for therapeutic programs.
- Use regular (weekly) supervision to determine upcoming schedules, review therapeutic programs and give input, etc.
- Ensure that therapeutic programs are delivered in a culturally responsive manner that optimizes health, safety, independence and empowerment through the principles of positive behavioral supports and agency policies and regulatory standards
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and agency leadership
Requirements for the Position:
- High school equivalency and at least 2 years of experience in the human service field.
- Certifications: CPR/SFA, within 30 days of hire, crisis prevention & DPH MAP Certification within 90 days of hire, Driver’s License upon hire
- Proficient in clinical and professional verbal, writing, and computer skills.
- Ability to go up and down stairs and the physical capacity to physically assist persons served as needed.
- Use of personal cell phone and/or vehicle
