Job Overview:

The Problem Solver is responsible for signing off on all incoming merchandise shipments in the warehouse. As a vital part of the warehouse support team, the Warehouse Problem Solver inspects the merchandise to ensure B&H has received what it was supposed to receive and in expected condition. Once the inspection is complete the employee records the shipment as received into the Warehouse Management system and then B&H releases payment to the vendor.  Also investigates any discrepancies in the product flow whether through Pick Module, Shipping or Racking departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting all issues that arise in the receiving department with merchandise
  • Research product information to conduct investigations on discrepancies
  • Ensure there is always quality testing in the warehouse
  • Documents complaints on vendors such as missing packing slips or missing bar codes

Additional Responsibilities:

  • As assigned by the manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to multitask and work in busy warehouse environment
  • Extended periods of standing/walking
  • Ability to resolve pallet math and strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  •  Strong computer knowledge is required
  • Must be able to operate a hand scanner to enter data into a Warehouse Management system

 

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Warehouse
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

•     Prior problem solving in warehouse experience needed

  • Warehouse Environment

Required Schedule:      

Monday - Thursday, 9am - 6pm AND Friday, 9am-3pm

**Eligibility contingent upon background screening
