The User Experience (UX) and Design team oversees the look, feel, operation, user experience and functionality of the company’s website by utilizing proven design methods to improve the customer’s online experience. Each recommendation is further communicated to the IS Web Design and Web Development teams to accurately launch changes in the live environment.

The UX and Design Specialist is responsible for user research/testing by focusing on understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through observation techniques, task analysis, and other feedback methodologies. S/he creates internal/external company web pages including graphics, animation and functionality. The Specialist also manages UX strategy through business development, research and prototypes, product management, maintenance programming, and prioritizes project features and goals.

Job Description

  • Work with business user groups and conduct interviews/inquiries to help understand user needs.
  • Responsible for the design and development of user experiences for a variety of applications- Web based, Legacy, 3rd Party Applications etc.
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps.
  • Involved in POCs, Projects and minor/major enhancements.
  • Present UX solution design to business and make refinements based on feedback.
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both.
  • Prototype design solutions for review, testing, and handoff.
  • Evaluating ease of use, utility, efficiency in performing tasks.

Qualifications and preferred skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of hands-on graphical design experience
  • Retail/ecommerce experience preferred
  • Experience with leading UX design tools – Preferably Figma and InVision
  • Ability to wireframe, prototype, and validate work
  • UX/UI subject matter expert
  • Exceptional creative, technical, and analytic skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
