Baillie Lumber's Smyrna Sawmill in Smyrna, NY is hiring for a Loader Operator. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our team as a first shift operator. The positions primary responsibility includes loading hardwood logs into the mill. This is an excellent opportunity to join a world class lumber company.

Loader Operator Pay & Benefits

• First Shift
• Full Time Hours
• Overtime Hours and Pay
• Full Plan of Benefits
• Hourly Pay - Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary:$16/hr. - $19/hr.*

Loader Operator Responsibilities

• Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Keep up with log yard operations and process flow by loading/unloading material
• Sort logs, load/unload logs, bark, chip and sawdust to and from truck, and feed the mill with logs
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision

Loader Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience as an equipment operator using a knuckleboom or front end loader or similar machine REQUIRED
  
• Experience in the lumber industry preferred
• Knowledge of scaling logs would be a plus
• Must be self motivated and organized
• Willingness to work in an outside environment and work overtime

The advertised pay range represents what Baillie Lumber Co. believes we would anticipate paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements.
