Maintenance Specialist
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the production and facility equipment run effectively. While routine maintenance is performed by production operators and personnel, the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for specific preventative maintenance, generally above and beyond the responsibility of Operations.
What You'll Do:
- Complete preventive maintenance on production and support equipment at regular intervals.
- Utilize CMMS software to generate and complete maintenance work orders and inspections.
- Maintain facility support equipment as needed.
- Utilize machine shop equipment to fabricate components as needed for repairs.
- Interface with equipment vendors to schedule repairs / order replacement parts.
- You may be asked to stay late, come in after hours or on a weekend to get a piece of equipment back into production.
- Travel to local shops to retrieve items needed for repairs.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Two years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment including minor electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding preferred.
- Forklift and scissor lift certification preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn and apply safety precautions and practices.
- Perform all functions listed above to an acceptable level without constant direct supervision and to be self-motivated.
