POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief People Officer (CPO) provides executive-level leadership, guidance, and oversight of the organization’s human resources operations and workforce strategies in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Atlas to optimize culture, employee engagement, and the overall performance of the organization while ensuring worker safety for employees and regulatory compliance with employment and labor law. The CPO sets the tone for the employee experience and excellence of the human resource function to support the achievement of the organizational growth strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establishes and ensures the effective execution of human resources philosophies, programs, and policies encompassing employment, diversity, equity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, employee relations, workforce planning and development, employee health services, leadership development, employee engagement, and talent acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws and practice and ensuring a safe and health environment for employees.
- Motivate and develop a team of human resource leaders and functional experts to design and implement best practices that enhance the culture, meet the needs of internal clients, and facilitates the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals of becoming an employer of choice.
- Serve as a thought partner and trusted counsel to the Executive Leadership Team, providing day-to-day and strategic advice on people-related strategies, and other matters, as well as coaching and feedback when appropriate.
- Anticipate and understand the competitive landscape, market forces, industry trends, and developments that impact and drive meaningful engagement of team members.
- Orchestrates internal communications to promote effective employee awareness of organizational initiatives and updates.
- Oversees growth-related activities that impact people operations including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, or large-scale expansion.
- Develops annual department budget to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to support operations and meet organizational goals.
- Ensures a comprehensive approach to the measurement of employee engagement with a leading approach to total rewards and team member experience.
- Ensures company-wide compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

This position has full managerial scope and authority for employment actions, including coaching, candidate selection, training and development, performance appraisals, work assignments, and disciplinary action.

SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
Lead and execute strategic plans for the company’s human resources department. This position works independently without supervision and serves as a strategic influence, key leader, and executive advisor to the Chief Executive Officer as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. The role will drive the development and execution of human resources strategy for the organization’s existing operations and future growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Eight to ten years of related experience.

Previous experience in the healthcare industry
