Job description

Since its inception in 1965, KJA has been a pioneer in the consulting industry, developing cutting edge ride quality analysis tools, traffic measurement equipment and software that has been used in design development for hundreds of international clients.

In January 2023, KJA merged with two US based companies, ATIS and Liberty Elevator Inspections. The new organization brings unparalleled experience, capacity, and expertise to customers - across all North America. Their combined resources advance their objective to elevate transparency and accountability within the industry, and to improve safety, compliance, and performance. We are seeking new Team Members to add to our growing combined entity.

Consultants assist clients with elevators, escalators, and a litany of other vertical transportation needs. Working closely with their team in offering solutions to clients. The position is intended to work closely with management companies and contractors to assist in design and maintenance of devices.

The position will report directly to the head Consulting Manager in Calgary.

Primary Responsibilities

· Surveying existing equipment or reviewing data collected by others onsite.

· Developing proposals and client relationships.

· Reviewing construction documents and drawings.

· Developing Specifications for Maintenance, Modernization or New Equipment.

· Reviewing bids from contractors and building project cashflow documentation.

· Handling construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, site visits and final inspections.

· Working with junior consultants to finalize reports and other documents.

· Travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

· A strong understanding of project management requirements in the elevator industry

· Formal education, either a college degree or technical school certificate, is expected (exceptions made for specific industry experience).

· Driven to provide an outstanding customer experience.

· Strong technical writing and report development skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.

· Ability and desire to stay abreast of latest industry developments.

· Relevant elevator Industry Experience.

· Prior customer service or experience working with clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
