Maintenance Associate
The Maintenance Department is responsible for health and safety issues and the upkeep and daily operations of the facilities on the Pearlstone campus. Pearlstone offers a full retreat center with several guest accommodation options, summer camp facilities, an organic farm operation, swimming pools, and more. Maintenance handles small carpentry repairs, minor plumbing and electrical issues, drywall and painting repairs, appliance maintenance and time-sensitive requests from guests and staff. Branded apparel and/or nametags are provided and expected to be worn when large groups/events are on campus. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Job Summary:
- Maintenance Associates work in accordance with Adamah policies and procedures, including safety and annual anti-harassment protocols (training provided).
- Execute tasks and repairs in alignment with priorities set by the Director of Maintenance.
- Skills with diagnostics and repair – minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.
- Skills with appliances.
- Utilizing experience in building performance standards and methodologies.
- Work on long and short term, small and large projects, independently and as a team member.
- Maintain grounds, buildings, and vehicles in accordance with governing bodies and codes.
- Work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, including in inclement weather.
- Respond to staff and guest requests and questions to ensure quality service across the campus.
- Maintain and carry out current safety and security standards.
- Have and maintain a valid drivers’ license.
Helpful prior skills and experience include:
- Previous experience and skills with appliances, a plus.
- Experience with building performance standards and methodologies, a plus.
- Experience working with Microsoft Outlook and Calendar.
- Self-starter, with an ability to self-motivate and work on solo projects as needed.
- Commitment to deadlines and task completion.
General:
- Attend weekly department meetings and monthly all-staff meetings.
- Possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and hold multiple projects at once, with a commitment to deadlines and task completion.
- Possess professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
- Adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Other tasks/duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This is a non-exempt position with work hours set to Monday-Friday, with some travel and weekend work possible.

90 Day Check In:
Ninety days from first date of employment date, there will be a check-in between you and your supervisor. Annually thereafter.
