About Adamah’s Community Impact Hubs 

Adamah has a growing and vibrant network of Community Impact Hubs, situated in major Jewish communities across North America. These Hubs are strategic platforms for fulfilling Adamah’s mission. Through Adamah’s core programmatic pillars – Jewish environmental education, climate action, leadership development, and immersive experiences – Adamah Hubs engage diverse participants and organizational partners fostering meaningful connections and impactful initiatives in the communities in which they operate. In addition to the five Hubs named above, Adamah anticipates opening our sixth Hub, in the San Francisco Bay Area, by the summer of 2025.

 

About Adamah’s Chief Community Impact Officer 

Adamah is seeking a leader to strengthen and grow our Community Impact Hub network. Working closely with Adamah’s CEO and leadership team, a lay leader advisory council, and a growing cohort of Hub Directors, Adamah’s new Chief Community Impact Officer will help to both ground and guide Adamah’s Hub work, simultaneously broadening and deepening our impact across North America.  

Roles and Responsibilities 

Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Strategy and Program Oversight (30%) 

  • Further develop and implement strategy for growing our Community Impact Hub network to 8 fully established Hubs over the next five years 
  • Implement and improve upon Adamah’s existing Hub systems and structures to oversee and support Adamah’s current established and emerging Hubs in New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Baltimore. This includes streamlining operations across both departments and divisions, as well as supporting the development and implementation of Hub-based programming in the following areas:
    • Jewish environmental education
    • Climate action  Leadership development and youth empowerment
    • Immersive experiences 
  • Oversee the launch of a Hub in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2025, and work with Adamah CEO, Chief Development Officer, board, and other stakeholders to identify and cultivate future Hub locations. 
  • Work in close collaboration with the Immersive Programs, National Programs, and Hospitality divisions to collaborate across teams and cross-promote programs and engagement opportunities 

Staff and Culture (20%) 

  • Directly supervise Community Impact Department Heads in the following communities: New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and soon, the San Francisco Bay Area; collaborate with Pearlstone leadership around Baltimore-based activities. 
  • Foster a positive, balanced, and inclusive divisional culture by creating ongoing opportunities for community-building (both virtual and in-person), open feedback exchange, and individual and collective learning and inspiration. This will likely include:
    • Quarterly divisional meetings to align on goals and priorities.
    • Quarterly extended check-ins with Department Heads to ensure consistent communication and collaboration.
    • In-person gathering for Department Heads and program teams to strengthen connections and enhance teamwork. 

Fundraising and Finances (20%) 

  • Manage divisional budget, including working closely with Department Heads, Fundraising and Development team, and the Chief Financial Officer, to develop departmental budgets, secure grants and individual donations; and develop earned revenue opportunities.  

Systems and Structures (15%) 

  • Develop systems and structures to ensure the smooth and effective operations of all Community Impact program initiatives. This includes: 
    • Staff and participant safety protocols
    • Data collection and reporting
    • Program evaluation
    • Grant writing/reporting
    • Donor engagement
    • Communications strategies and timelines 

Lay Leadership (10%) 

  • Serve as the staff liaison for a lay leader Community Impact Hub Advisory Council
  • Support Hub Directors with managing local Hub Advisory Councils  

Misc. (5%) 

  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Adamah Leadership Team, monthly all-staff meetings, quarterly Management Team meetings, annual Board retreat, etc.  

This role will require travel approximately every 2 months, including at minimum annual visits to each of Adamah’s Hubs for major programming and development opportunities, travel for leadership team gatherings, and conferences.

General 

This is an exempt position with work hours set to Monday-Friday, with some travel (see above) and weekend work necessary. The anticipated start date is April 1, 2025, or earlier.
