Drafter/CAD Operator III
ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full time Drafter/CAD Operator III to support our government customer programs in Wichita Falls, Texas. This role is an onsite position.
Key Role:
- Use AutoCAD to prepare drawing sets which include complex design features that require considerable drafting skills to visualize and portray.
- Use mathematical formulas to draw engineering project features.
- Prepare review, bid, and construction drawings per instructions from project managers and designers.
- Prepare asbuilt drawings per instructions from project managers, designers, and inspectors.
- 3Maintain and update data files in GIS and other Engineering Division records.
- Accomplish field surveying to position features of project work within the geospatial coordinate system used by the base.
- Assist the Geo Integration Office in preparation of the common installation picture through field mapping, GPS surveying, topographic surveying or other data development techniques.
- As required, participate in construction management activities.
- Ability to input and extract data, prepare briefings, transmit documents.
- Possess attention to detail and execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
- Other duties as assigned to meet mission and customer requirement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in recent versions of AutoCAD in preparing architectural, mechanical, electrical, and/or civil drawings required.
- Autodesk Certified User (ACU) for basic proficiency or the Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) for advanced skills, both recognized industry credentials that validate your AutoCAD knowledge or two (2) years of verified work-related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Possess excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
- Competent knowledge of computers
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Air Force or DOD experience.
Pay Rate: $28.94
