Enterprise Messaging Developer/ Administrator - Solace
ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking an Enterprise Messaging Developer/ Administrator to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. If you have Solace or WebLogic experience, let's talk today.
- We are looking for an experienced individual to work with the hardware team as an Enterprise Messaging Developer Administrator. The individual should have experience in developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise level messaging system architecture.
- The person should have experience in Python and strong understanding of programming languages, such as Java, or C++, and experience with database technologies, such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- The candidate should be able to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. They should be able to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges. The candidate will be working with some guidance from a subject matter expert.
Required skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math and seven (7) years of related work experience; will consider a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field that has a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. OR Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field
- Permanent Residency (with 3 years residing in the US) or US Citizenship is required for the FAA Public Trust/background investigation.
- Python programming
- Solace broker configuration/administration
- Enterprise Messaging Patterns
- Virtual Servers configuration/administration
- Any High Performance Computing experience is a plus.
- Linux environment with shell scripting is a plus.
- Apache ActiveMQ Artemis is a plus
Essential Job duties:
- Designing and developing the messaging system architecture
- Implementing the messaging system features
- Testing and debugging the messaging system
- Deploying and maintaining the messaging system
- Monitoring the messaging system performance
- Familiarity with networking, firewalls, and security protocols
- Troubleshooting messaging system issues
- Must be able to work in a large group environment
- Problem solving skills
- Work with outside vendors and internal Agile feature teams to ensure the messaging system meets their needs
