ASRC Federal is looking for a Senior Benefits Partner to join the Total Rewards Team, reporting into the Senior Manager of Benefits.
The ideal candidate is independent, proactive with advanced knowledge in benefits plan design and administration, data-driven and constantly looking for innovative ways to improve processes.
This position is hybrid with a primary location in Reston, VA. We anticipate the hire to be onsite approximately 1-2 days per week.
Key Role:
Administer existing programs and design and develop new offerings to attract and retain talent, while ensuring exceptional customer service to employees and other stakeholders. Lead projects, manage vendor relationships and ensure all compliance tasks are completed timely.
- Benefits Strategy and Administration
- Responsible for the design, implementation and execution of US and expat benefit programs.
- Management of self-funded and fully insured plans to include health and welfare plans, retirement programs, wellbeing programs.
- Project management of all aspects related to Open Enrollment including design, planning, communication, and execution.
- End-to-end implementation of new benefit programs and vendors.
- Develop education and communication strategy
- 401(k) Administration and Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plan (NQDC)
- Oversee day-to day administration of the Company’s 401(k) retirement plan and Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plans including enrollment, contributions, distributions, and loan processing.
- Ensure compliance with all 401(k) and NQDC regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage payroll requirements and periodic audits.
- Compliance, Files and Reporting
- Keep abreast of policies, legislative changes, and legal requirements, such as ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to assist with plan compliance efforts.
- Prepare ad-hoc benefit reports for plan audits, management review and contract proposals.
- Conduct regular audits of benefit programs to ensure accuracy and compliance to include regular audits of vendor and payroll files.
- Partner with internal partners on integration files, updates and testing necessary.
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with benefit vendors, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and consultants.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Oversee the payment process for vendors and insurance carriers’ billing, assuring accuracy and timely payment by third-party consolidated billing provider.
- Collaboration
- Work on cross-functional project teams and contribute to enterprise-wide projects and initiatives by applying sound project management skills.
- Partner with finance, payroll, HRIS, legal, and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management.
- Partner with HRBP’s and Managers on escalations and periodic trainings.
- Partner with the Sr. Benefits Manager and leadership to review current business processes, make recommendations, and implement procedures to streamline ASRC Federal practices for efficiency and an improved benefits delivery experience.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Human Resources/Business or related field with minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in the government contracting industry including Service Contract Act and collective bargaining agreements strongly desired. Experience in other industries will be considered.
- Experience developing and presenting analyses to lead and drive initiatives.
- Ability to adapt and drive improvements and continuously simplify processes with compliance in mind.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, uncertainty, and change in complex environment.
- Experience with relevant business systems (Dayforce, Alight, Deltek/Costpoint, Power BI) desired.
- Strong problem solving, critical/analytical thinking abilities, with ability to manage end to end processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
