On-Call Engineering Technician II (Supporting the Air Force Research Lab)

ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated On-Call Engineering Technician 2  to support the ASTROS Contract.  We are looking for someone with the ability to support Air Force projects and ensure the customer remains in compliance with Air Force requirements. We are supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Center and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.

Key Role:

• The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
• Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping).
• Must have basic experience with mechanical systems.
• Provide communication to the proper Work Plan Manager on work progression.
• A basic understanding of hand tools and how to use them.
• Proper use of a Weed Whip. 
• A person that can prioritize tasks in constantly changing environment.
• Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment
• Will be required to work overtime and or work different shifts with little notice.

• Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.
• Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.
• Must have ability to work within a defined schedule and communicate any deviations.
• Must be able to know or quickly learn how to operate a forklift.
• Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to switch tasks at a moment’s notice.
• Must be able to gain access to the customer’s computer networks.
• Will be required to work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the work force
• HS Degree  
• Must be a US Citizen to meet government contract requirements.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
