ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.We are looking for a Resource Analyst to provide Full-Time support on a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Job Summary:
Provide resource analysis support to the Heliophysics Science Division (Code 670), centering on a variety of complex functions including assisting with budget formulation and execution activities, tracking of full cost expenditures, budget analysis, financial reporting, and supporting other ad-hoc actions, including the operating account, phasing plan and workforce planning exercises.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall resource analysis support to the division Financial Manager and provide assistance to the 670 RA team.
- Assist in creating, tracking, maintaining, analyzing, and monitoring budgets. Develop, implement, and maintain various financial workbooks and spreadsheets and provide financial/organizational documentation support to the appropriate PIs in the Division/Lab.
- Assist in the planning and tracking of workforce estimates and actuals.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing costs and variances for contracts, cooperative agreements, grants, etc.
- Review and report on spending plans versus actuals by participating in monthly status reviews with Laboratory scientists and Resources managers and follow-up on correction actions needed.
- Assist in the completion of action items and calls as they arise, such as PPBEs, variance analysis, Senior Reviews, and mid-year reviews.
- Other duties may include assisting with the preparation of Phasing Plans, Costing and Accrual analysis, management of Funded Programs, and purchase requisition (PR) preparation and tracking, and performing division income reconciliations.
- Other special projects/duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Competency in the GSFC financial systems, including SAP, BOBJ, FCS2, PAM and MAPS desirable.
- Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work with all levels.
- Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond / produce quality work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment.
- The individual must also possess a strong sense of ethics, discretion, and professional sophistication.
- Ability to communicate project status and issues to customers and leadership as they arise. May be responsible for taking direction from leadership and distributing information to team members, stakeholders, and leadership quickly and efficiently.
- Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.
