ASRC is seeking Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by developing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and working collaboratively with the development team to resolve defects. The QA Analyst will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, designing test cases, conducting manual and automated testing, and ensuring that all software products meet the highest standards of quality.
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar quality assurance role.
- Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must have at least 10 years of relevant development experience.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.

Candidates must be either U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, also known as “green card” holder.

Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automated testing.
- Experience in performance, security, or user acceptance testing (UAT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Design:
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements, functional specifications, and business needs.
- Identify test scenarios for both manual and automated testing processes.
- Test Execution:
- Perform manual testing of software applications to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and areas of improvement.
- Execute automated test scripts, when applicable, to ensure system reliability and functionality.
- Defect Identification & Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects, inconsistencies, and other issues through a defect tracking system.
- Work with developers and other team members to ensure timely and effective defect resolution.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand system requirements and design appropriate test cases.
- Communicate test progress, results, and issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Regression & Performance Testing:
- Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Conduct performance and load testing to assess system stability under varying conditions.
- Test Documentation & Reporting:
- Document test results, provide feedback on the quality of the application, and suggest improvements or enhancements.
- Create comprehensive test reports and maintain detailed logs of testing activities.
