Senior Principal Solutions Architecture
ASRC Federal Business Innovation (AFBI), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking qualified candidate for the Senior Principal Solutions Architect (Subject Matter Expert) position supporting our Integrated Broadcast Systems (IBS) 9th Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) customer located in Langley AFB, VA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Software Architect Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for assisting the Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) with Senior level Subject Matter Expertise and providing programmatic support.
- Provides overall situational awareness to the Enterprise. Assists with the operations and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools, including the administration and backup of any associated databases.
- Creates, publishes, and posts architecture products on both AFCENT and Joint portals.
- Provides Enterprise Architecture staff with superior knowledge in their individual fields, as well as familiarity with other areas of AFCENT core operations (e.g. foreign internal defense, unconventional warfare).
- Collaborates with the DoD CIO, IC, Joint Staff, Military Services, DISA, Component Commands, AFCENT personnel to create the EA and capability architectures. This includes reviewing new capability architectures or guidance proposed by the above organizations for the impact of those capability architectures upon the SIE.
- Provides support during duty hours at their assigned location 1 and may be required to perform some travel in both the CONUS and OCONUS to locations deemed necessary by AFCENT.
- Understands AFCENT strategies, missions, roles, and functions and perform mid- and long-term Enterprise and strategic C4 planning based on this understanding.
- Creates and maintains the EA using established architecture products and supporting documentation.
- Uses of a variety of DoD, Joint Staff, Military Service, DISA, and IC resources/sites to create the EA and capability architectures. These resources include the Architecture Compliance and Assessment Review Tool (ACART), the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) Task Development Tool, and the GIG Technical Guidance-Federation.
- Reviews and assesses the impact of DoD, Military Service, Joint, DISA, or IC proposed capability architectures or architecture guidance on the SIE.
- Administers the AFCENT architecture software and database.
- As requested, participates in DODAF related conferences, either virtually or in person
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IBS project and technical support.
- Experience supporting high level DoD customers and excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work independently or in a team framework.
- Ability to research and gather information; verify and analyze data.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external organizations.
CLEARANCE LEVEL:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI)
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Or a total of 14 years of related experience.
