Records Management Specialist, Cataloging

Agile Decision Sciences, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Management Specialist  to join our Philadelphia team supporting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Requirements:

  • College degree (BA/BS) and three years records management experience; National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) certification is desirable.
  •  Experience with at least one automated information system is required (such as SharePoint, cataloging system or a Library system)
  • Experience with MS Office applications is required.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and document conversion is desirable.
  • Experience with scanning equipment and the ability to resolve scanning problems as they occur.
  • Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work independently and on teams, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment.
  • Physical requirements include full range of arm motion, including lifting above the head, ability to bend, stoop and kneel, ability to routinely lift and carry 40-50 lbs. in weight, to push or pull 500 lbs. on carts, ability to use step stool to reach materials on upper shelves. Candidate should also be comfortable sitting at computer workstation for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Imaging/digitizing paper records and processing electronic records in pdf format.
  • Utilizing a records management system (database) for search, retrieval, and document metadata creation.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and participate in records organization projects.
  • Applying records retention schedules to files for the purposes of retention, archiving and disposition.
  • Maintaining daily activity statistics and producing monthly activity reports.
