ASRC Federal Netcentric Technology, LLC is seeking an Operations Engineering Technician to support ongoing activities on our KEOS contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

 

Job Summary: 

 

The Operations Engineering Technician will support mission critical infrastructure assessments and provide building systems technical support to serve the needs of the organization to ensure effective and efficient operation of government-owned and -occupied facilities, installed equipment, and associated infrastructure.  

   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform facility condition assessments and inspections of completed equipment installations and facility repairs/renovations to capture required Real Property data for input in the government systems of record, SMS BUILDER and NexGenIT. 
  • Initiate projects and develop maintenance requirements per US Air Force (USAF) Requirements & Optimization (R&O). 
  • Possess a working knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). 
  • Supports and works with project design teams consisting of architects, engineers, and customer’s technical staff. 
  • Provide technical support to project developers and cost estimators. 
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and similar documents to explain and present project information and data. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum education level of high school diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Minimum two years of related experience to include planning or performing facility maintenance and repairs. 
  • Able to identify common site architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection/detection system components, and understand how they function/operate. 
  • Possess applicable building code and life safety knowledge to provide assessment services. 
  • Knowledge of construction management software and construction project management, preventive maintenance, construction and repair terminology and processes. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Be able to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision. 
  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and prepare daily reports. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. 
  • Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications. 
  • Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers. 
  • Must be a US citizen and currently possessor be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. 
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license. 
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen. 
  • Able to work in an office environment with extended periods at a computer and a field environment requiring full range of motion and movement for purposes of inspections/assessments and site visits; be able to perform physical activities including climbing and working at heights greater than 50 feet, crawling, working outdoors, and repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs. 
  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of five years of maintenance, repair, and engineering facility experience. 
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in a military environment and familiarity with USAF Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations. 
  • Experience performing facility assessments and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) condition assessments. 
  • One year of experience working with geospatial databases.  
  • Knowledge of technical specifications and ability to interpret as-built drawings. 
  • Basic familiarity with current USA guidance and practices regarding:  real property, preventative maintenance, linear segmentation, BUILDER, and/or NexGenIT.
