Project Manager, Federal Records Management
Agile Decision Sciences (ADS,) a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Project Manager, Records Management to support our nationwide program that provides the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with library and records management services. This position is on-site at EPA's National Digitization Center in Kansas City, MO. - Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of records management experience that includes three (3) years in a supervisory/management role. OR a Master's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of records experience, including three (3) years of supervisory/project management experience.
- (A Certified Records Manager (CRM) certificate may be substituted for two years of experience.)
- Experience managing programs of 25 or more staff strongly desired.
- Expertise in Records Management; prefer government records but will consider all industries.
- Experience with developing project plans, goals, and strategies, and reporting on project progress.
- Background supporting Records and Electronic Records Management, or related systems is required; NARA certification is desirable.
- Experience with Records Management Systems such as Documentum or Versatile or others.
- Knowledge of Federal record keeping requirements and protocols is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work both as a team leader and team member.
- Experience working directly with customers and meeting project requirements and deadlines.
- Experience with information technology as it relates to records, data centers, and digitization.
- Experience in operations or project management in a contracting/consulting environment with the ability to identify and resolve issues, assess continually, and improve processes to increase service to the client.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Business Tools—Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Ability to pick up new technologies and applications.
- Ability to pass a government background investigation (Permanent Residency or US Citizenship Required)
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the Task Order Manager (TOM) under this program, supervising a talented staff at a federal work site.
- Serves as the primary point of contact with the federal government stakeholders/clients at various levels.
- Provides innovation for records and information support, developing procedures and records schedules as needed, assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the records management program.
- Implements paper and electronic file plans, assisting EPA staff with storage procedures, conducting records inventories, developing and presenting trainings.
- Provides oversight of the daily operations and management of the Task Order.
- Provides supervision of exempt and non-exempt staff, as well as oversight of Task Order needs such as equipment, and supplies.
- Tracks funding and requests additional funding when needed.
- Develops and delivers on-time delivery of contract deliverables, including the weekly and monthly statistical reports.
- Manages all financial and contractual obligations of the Task Order.
- Oversees the development and use of databases to track the movement of records and the operations of the local record storage areas.
