Position Description: This position supports Information Assurance and Cybersecurity efforts under ASRC Federal’s CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army’s systems are protected against cybersecurity threats, ensuring the security and reliability of mission-critical operations. As an Information Security Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security protocols and measures to safeguard Army systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technical discipline with a concentration in Information Security or Cyber Security. An advanced degree with a concentration in Information Security or Cyber Security is preferred.
- Must be Information Assurance (IA) Trained and Certified per the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement IAW DoD 8570.1-M, Change 2, and the Army Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification Best Business Practice, corrected 6 Aug 2010.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as an Information Security Engineer or in related Information Security Engineering activities within the last 10 years.
- IAT Level 2 certification IAW AR 25-2 and DoD 8570.01M.
- 10 years of professional experience within the last 15 years, with appropriate computing environment certification, and IA Workforce System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Specialty qualification as per DoD 8570.01-M and Army IA Training and Certification Best Business Practice.
- Must be a U.S citizen eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Cyber Security administrator.
- Experience with DoD security requirements and compliance (e.g., CTOs, OPORDS, STIG, ACAS).
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Linux shell scripting to automate tasks and enhance system security.
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk), AWS Security Hub, and AWS Detective to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- CISSP, Security+, or other applicable Technical Certification.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.
- Working knowledge of Trellix ePO.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
- Experience working in an Agile Framework environment
