ASRC Federal Communications is seeing a Production control clerk  for our ISS2 contact supporting our Air Force customer. This postion is located on Wake Island. It’s a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule of 3 months on the island and on month off unpaid, Wake Island is 2,100 miles away from HNL. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility.  All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. You are responsible for the flight from your home base to HNL.  Transportation to wake island is provided by government sponsored aircraft.  This is a negotiated union position. 

 

Summary/General Description of Job:

 

Operates and maintains the computer-based maintenance cost tracking system. Works to ensure all labor and material costs are accurately tracked and works with IT to ensure computer systems are operating properly.  maintains accurate timekeeping and assisting with bi-weekly timesheets for all employees, as needed, and coordinating with the finance department to facilitate payroll process.


Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Schedules and maintains Direct Scheduled Work Order program (DSW).
  • Schedules and maintains Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Works with automated work management systems.
  • Maintains Real Property Installed Equipment List (RPIE).
  • Designs and produces reports from automated work management system as requested.
  • Maintains accurate records of all third-party support hours, CLIN hours, and all over and above work to be performed, and the hours used to perform the work.
  • Performs cost tracking functions including records, reports, and maintenance.
  • Answers and logs all service calls.
  • Issues and closes work orders.
  • Maintains facility and vehicle history folders.
  • Tracks all hours worked for each employee and attributes labor hours to work orders.
  • Trains employees on procedures for daily timesheet preparation and checks for accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Provides necessary training on automated work management systems.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Accountable For:

  • General office practices and procedures.
  • Use of common office machinery, including copiers, fax machines, and computers.
  • Organizational skills
  • Operating a 10-key proficiently
  • Performing duties in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year experience in maintenance, labor, and material cost tracking.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.


Preferred
• Previous experience working on a military installation.
• Previous experience working in a remote location.
