Project Coordinator, NASA Headquarters

Currently seeking a highly motivated individual to support our contract with NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. The primary responsibility for this position will be to assist a government office with administrative and coordination tasks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination support to high-level leadership including coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • This involves working closely with the SCaN office and other high level senior officials to coordinate activities.
  • Proactively engages in planning administrative and logistics support for designated meetings, launches and high level events.
  • May perform other related administrative and coordination tasks in support of customer activities. Works independently with limited supervision to successfully plan, organize, and implement support activities.
  • Serves as an interface with staff and SCaN leadership to coordinate deliverables and actions. Assist in providing project analysis and administrative support, including the integration of various inputs and data sets, producing and maintaining schedules, tracking deliverables and processes.
  • Lead process improvement and documentation of SCaN activities. Ensure process and documentation are consistent with SOMD and NASA policies. Coordinate with various stakeholders on completing deliverables.  
  • Lead implementation of digital transformation for SCaN products (e.g. SharePoint site). Plans, schedules and coordinates activities and processes to support key budget activities and meetings such as project and program reviews (attending meetings as appropriate). Participates in the review, revision, and documentation of budget formulation and justification processes and tools.
  • Additional projects will involve coordinating issues with government and international personnel nationwide, analyzing data providing statistical analysis, creating reports, producing metrics or assisting with special projects. 

Please note: It is not anticipated to be full time onsite, but will require occasional in person support depending on customer needs. It is likely that future support at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC will be required, a minimum of 3 days a week on site at NASA Headquarters, and 1-2 days telework, based on customer needs.

 

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience in the government or aerospace industry will be viewed favorably.  Previous experience with Concur Government Edition (CGE) is also beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products is critical, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using website applications to coordinate activities, store files, and enter data as needed. Experience with SharePoint is preferred.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • The individual will be expected to learn general information about the major projects of the office and key terminology. A proactive and flexible demeanor is greatly preferred, in order to successfully support this dynamic, high-profile office.
  • Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret or above clearance.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Top Secret cleared
  • NASA experience preferred
  • 8 to 10 years of experience
